About Us
Chief Instructor Leon Harms
Leon Harms is a life-long outdoorsman. Born in the Santa Fe area, his passions are teaching wilderness skills and enjoying the back country. Leon learned his skills from an early age. as a Boy Scout he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and worked at Philmont Scout Ranch as a wrangler for three seasons, where he developed his love of mules and donkeys. He has worked as a professional packer, guide and camp cook in the rugged mountains of Colorado and New Mexico.
Here at Wild Vistas Adventures we have developed a unique teaching style, where we incorporate learning in an adventure setting. To have a true adventure one needs to learn something about one's self, have a destination that needs to be reached and experience physical and mental challenges. You will find these here.
